New Venezuelan Food Truck opens in Jersey City

Jersey City, New Jersey – The New Year has seen a new food truck arrive in Jersey City. Located on Columbus Drive (opposite the Marriott hotel), El Carro Amarillo is offering locals a taste of Venezuelan street food. The menu includes authentic cachapas, empanadas, tequenos, arepas, pepitos, and patacones which are available with pork, chicken, beef, and vegetarian options.

The prices are set at $4.50-$6 per empanada (depending on what you order), to $11.75-$14 per cachapas (again, this depends on what meat you select with beef understandably costing more.) According to the truck’s social media page, it operates from Friday-Sunday 3-10 pm, and accepts cash only. Based on their social media presence, it also looks like this offers sizeable portion sizes which is another positive for Jersey City locals.
