Cape Coral, FL – This week, a new Neopolitan Pizza food truck has opened in Cape Coral. Named Nabilo’s, the slogan reads ‘Come taste the flavors of Italy in every bite!’ In fairness, this is not like your average food truck and although it still maintains street food vibes, it is certainly a bit classier than the average. A hint of this can be seen on the side of the truck which features artwork showing fresh herbs, tomatoes, cheese, and olive oil.
Basically, while many food trucks may specialize in unhealthy fast food, this truck is the opposite. Part of this is because it utilizes an authentic Italian pizza oven, which means that it can make genuine Neapolitan pizzas. Overall, this isn’t the type of pizza that you’d associate with a truck.
For those wondering, Neapolitan pizza, also known as Pizza Napoletana, is a traditional style of pizza originating from Naples, Italy. It is characterized by its simple, high-quality ingredients: a basic dough, raw tomatoes (preferably San Marzano or pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio), fresh mozzarella cheese (either mozzarella di bufala campana or fior di latte), fresh basil, and olive oil. No additional toppings are allowed in the authentic Neapolitan pizza.
Currently, the truck operates at 402 SE 10th St. and also offers private catering. As you may expect, Nabilo’s also sells a number of soft drinks too, such as Coca-Cola and Sprite.
Over the years Cape Coral has produced a surprisingly high number of decent pizza-based food trucks. With this in mind, it looks as though this one may be another hit.
