Martinsville, VA – According to recently revealed documents, a new tavern is set to open in uptown Martinsville. This is documented under a ‘retail restaurant or caterer application’ and is to be operated by TAD space under the name as ‘TAD Tavern’. The establishment type is listed as a restaurant that serves beer and wine which has applied for a full ABC license.
Aside from the screenshot posted below, there is no extra information on the development which seems to be in its very early days of development. Unfortunately, this means there is no set date for when this will open. Similarly, it is not known whether the establishment will sell food either.
A nice addition to the Martinsville dining scene
Overall, this may make for a nice addition to Martinsville’s current dining scene. Although the town is only small, it has a decent selection of food and drink available to locals. As well as its traditional restaurants, there are also several bars and taverns in the area, such as Tequila’s Sports Bar and Grill and Hugo’s Restaurant & Sports Bar, where you can grab a drink and enjoy the local nightlife. Arguably, the arrival of a traditional tavern would also be welcomed by those who like a relaxing drink or two.
