The Dallas Mavericks are introducing a novel food truck initiative in Dallas, in collaboration with Ruthie’s For Good. This food truck venture offers a second chance to individuals who have been involved with the criminal justice system. The Mavericks plan to collaborate with Ruthie’s for various community activities throughout their season, including the “Snacks of Kindness” program. This initiative aims to provide tasty meals while highlighting the community contributions of various non-profits and groups across North Texas.
Katie Edwards, the Chief Impact Officer of the Mavericks, expressed enthusiasm for partnering with socially conscious businesses that aim to contribute positively to the North Texas region. The partnership was inaugurated with an event at the Fort Worth Police Department’s East Division Substation, where the Mavericks and Ruthie’s served meals to law enforcement officers.
