Carlingwood Mall gets two new street food restaurants

Ottawa, Canada – Residents of Ottawa will be pleased to see that the Carlingwood Mall now has two new editions offering street food. The first is called Saffron which offers rolled ice cream and desserts. The second edition is named DB Poutine which unsurprisingly offers Poutine.

This is an interesting development for the mall which has been described recently as a ‘dead mall’ due to its decaying amount of vendors and aging decor. With this in mind, the addition of two new eateries could spark some much-needed life into Carlingwood.

News of the new food joints was first shared on Reddit which included photos of the new spots. Here, users debate whether the mall was on the decline or not. Interestingly, one user also claimed that a new bubble tea shop had opened there. One user named Matt_b_19 confirmed this saying: “Real Fruit Bubble Tea. We’ve had it a few times and we like it. I still miss Booster Juice but it’s good nonetheless. I just tried the Strawberry Popping Boba in a Banana Fruit Smoothie and it was quite nice.”

Carlingwood Mall, officially known as Carlingwood Shopping Centre, is a well-established shopping destination located at 2121 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The mall opened its doors in 1956 and was one of the city’s first major shopping centers, making it a significant part of Ottawa’s retail history. Today, Carlingwood Mall remains open but is now less of a popular destination for shoppers compared to its glory days.
