Check out some of the best wide-feed cold-press juicers for light commercial use
Cold-pressed juicers are a relatively new technology and there are very commercial models on the market.
And when you start getting into commercial-scale cold-pressed juicers for high-volume bottling it gets very expensive.
However, there are a lot of high-end cold-pressed juicers that fall between household and commercial use which are suitable for light commercial operations like a small juice bar or cafe/restaurant.
So to help decide I’ve put together a list of 5 of the best cold-pressed juicers suitable for light commercial use.
What is Cold-pressed?
You may or may not know what cold-pressed actually means but it’s worth clarifying just in case before you dive in and make a purchase.
Cold press juicers, also known as slow or masticating juicers create minimal heat when extracting the juice.
This is due to the low RPM (rotations per minute) and slow crushing action of the auger which essentially squeezes the juice out of the fruit and vegetable as opposed to the fast-spinning blades of centrifugal juicers.
Pros and cons of cold-pressed juicers
There are a few benefits and drawbacks to using cold press juicers.
Pros:
- Extracts more juice than centrifugal juicers
- Juice lasts longer in the fridge (up to 3-5 days)
- Good at extracting juice from leafy greens (spinach, kale)
- Can be used to make nut milk
- Low RPM (uses less power)
Cons:
- Takes longer to extract the juice (slow-juicer)
- Tend to be more expensive than centrifugal
- Can be hard to clean
- Lack of affordable commercial cold press juicers
Wide-feed cold-press juicers
When using a cold-pressed juicer in a cafe or juice bar you will likely be busy and therefore need to be efficient.
So to save time chopping fruit and vegetables go for a commercial cold-pressed juicer with a wide feed chute.
This way you can juice whole fruits such as apples, without the need for prepping, thus speeding up serving times.
1. SiFENE Vertical Cold Press Juicer
Brand: SiFENE
Continuous use: 30 mins.
RPM: 47-60
Product features:
- Wide feed chute
- 2-year warranty
- Carry handle
Pros:
- Slim & sleek design
- Wide feed chute
- Very quiet
- Carry handle
- Self-feeding flap
- Large serving jug
Cons:
- Brand not as established
The SiFENE Slow Masticating Juicer Machine has a sleek and slim design which makes it easy if space is a bit tight.
It has a “reverse” function to help with any clogging of fruit and veg, an “anti-drip” plug that helps to keep work surfaces clean, and a large 900 ml jug for serving multiple customers.
It’s also at the lower end of the price scale which is good if you need a juicer machine whilst on a budget.
The only real drawback with this juicer is that it is not from an established brand and online reviews are lacking.

2. BioChef Atlas Whole Slow Juicer
Brand: Biochef
Continuous use: 30 mins
RPM: 40
Product features:
- Self-feeding flap
- Wide feed chute
- Lifetime Guarantee on motor and 5 years on parts

Cons:

- The flap can sometimes hinder speed
Not only does the Biochef cold press juicer have a wide feed chute for whole fruit and vegetables, but it also has a self-feeding flap.
This means you can feed produce into the mouth of the juicer machine without the need for a plunger to push the fruit and vegetables down.
It also comes with a generous lifetime guarantee on the motor and 5 years on parts.
However, whilst the self-feeding flap can be useful I find it can sometimes get in the way when using a plunger to push down the produce to speed up the juicing process.

Key takeaway
You really don’t need to spend a fortune on one of the very few commercial cold-press juicer models that are out there.
All of the juicers on the list are suitable for light commercial use in a juice bar, cafe, or anywhere you can serve food and drink to the public.
The main thing to look out for when buying a cold press juicer for this type of use is a wide-feed chute feature.
This will save you a lot of time with the preparation of chopping fruits and vegetables, thus speeding up serving time.
If you are on a tight budget ($100-250) I recommend the Aeitto, Bichef, or Ventray models, and if you have a bit more to spend ($350-600) go for the award-winning Kuvings.
Whichever one you choose they should all do the job.
